GEOGRAPHY

Canada is located north of the United States. It is composed of ten provinces and three territories. Canada is well known for its breathtaking landscapes and harsh winters. Despite the cold, you cannot help but feel at home in this country.

Canada’s three main cities are Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver. Though you can find the premier universities and colleges in these areas, that is not to say that you cannot find a rich learning experiences in the outlying smaller cities and rural areas as well.

WHY CHOOSE CANADA

Many students who have experienced studying in Canada have nothing to utter but praise. If one of your major considerations is your physical surroundings, then you cannot go wrong with Canada. Within the cities or even outside of them, the streets and other areas are quite clean. If one thing can be said of Canadians, it is the fact that they care for their surroundings and environment. As such, they go to great lengths to keep their air and water clean.

Canada is one of the safest and most politically stable countries you can choose to study in. Of course, petty crime cannot be totally eliminated in the bigger cities but in general, the crime rate is pretty low in most cities. One common sentiment that students echo is that you can walk around almost anywhere and not feel threatened by anyone.

The transportation network is vast and relatively cheap. Students will have no trouble going around the cities as well as traveling to and from different cities. You have the option of taking buses, trains, and discounted air travels.

Perhaps the best thing the country is most known for is the quality of its health system. More than that, international students can also benefit from the government’s health insurance at no cost (only in Nova Scotia and Saskatchewan)! Indeed, that’s one thing less that you would have to worry about.

EDUCATION

Canadians are one of the best educated people in the world. Children are required to study up to a certain age and it is not uncommon for them to move on to university or college. As such their adult literacy rate is an impressive 99%.

Though high quality education comes at a high price in other countries, Canada has managed to keep theirs at a more reasonable level. The tuition for a school year in Canada can go as low as 90% cheaper than tuition for an American university!

 Welcome to Canada

Canada Education

Choosing the country where to spend a considerable amount of your time for your studies is not such a simple matter. Of course, you can just pick something out of thin air but then you would have only yourself to blame if things do not go the way you expected them to. If you are like many other foreign students wanting to spend time in a foreign country but not totally feel ill at ease as well, then you have come to the right place.

Canada has gained a worldwide reputation for being one of the best countries to live in. Its health care system is one of the best in the world. Its natural beauty is augmented by the cleanliness and environmental awareness of its people. Canadians are known to be friendly and very hospitable. In general, the quality of life in this country is one of the best in the world.

What really concerns you as a foreign student would be the quality of education that Canada has to offer. Well you have nothing to worry about in this respect. As with their health care system, the Canadian educational system is at par with, or even better than most other countries. Schooling is mandatory up to a certain age. Taking things one step further, going to the university or college is but a common thing in Canada. As such, you can rest assured that the education you will be getting here is nothing but the best.

Your choices when it comes to education are as vast as the country’s area itself. You can opt to study right smack in the middle of the large cities or you can choose a quieter life in the suburbs or towns. You can even choose to stay in a rural farm if you wish to do so.

Your life in Canada will not be limited to your studies either. A vast choice of extra-curricular activities awaits you – from cultural experiences to nature adventures. Whatever field of expertise you wish to focus on, whatever atmosphere you wish to live in, you will find something to suit your preferences in this adventure-filled yet hospitable country.

Education In Canada

If you are looking for quality education at a reasonable price, then Canada is the country for you. In Canada, you will get only the best in education at the most affordable prices you can ever imagine. The reason for this is that the government takes upon itself to assist people who want to improve themselves through learning. It does this by heavily subsidizing education costs.

Of course, where you choose to study and live will greatly determine how much you would have to spend on your education. On the average, however, the basic tuition fee for a Canadian school ranges from 1,537 GBP to 3,074 GBP. That amount can easily be doubled, or even tripled in other industrialized countries! As can be normally expected, you would need to set aside money for other expenses such as textbooks and other educational materials. You would need about 281.802 GBP for these.

Accommodations are easy to come by in Canada. Just like the cost of tuition, the cost of your residence should not be too high. You have a variety of options as to where you can stay. Many universities and colleges offer dormitories for their students. More often than not, the meals are included in the fees. You can also opt to find a home that will host you during your stay. Alternatively, you can find a flat or a boarding house outside of the campus. On the average, you can expect to pay about 358 GBP per month on your accommodations.

Emergencies are part of life, and to protect you financially in such occurrences, you should take out a medical insurance policy. In two places – Nova Scotia and Saskatchewan – medical insurance is extended for free to international students. Where you have to pay, however, you need only to spend about 153 GBP per term.

As for how you can get around, public transportation is not a problem. You have a choice between buses, trains, subways, and for longer trips, discount airfares. You can avail of a student bus pass for only about 26 GBP per month.

In Canada, quality education does not have to come expensively.
